Hi All,
My growing interest in arachnids led me to a book about spider biology. 'Biology of Spiders' by Rainer F. Foelix. I don't have any formal education in biology, but read a fair bit on biology, paleobiology, and the like. I purchased this book, and have been reading it during lunch breaks at work, so not too intense of a study. I have found if very interesting. Good explaination of spider anatomy, and physiology. Lots of biology terms are used in the text, but if you don't sweat the pronounciation, you still learn the workings of the spider body. I found this all very cool. I'm just at the part where they are covering the sensory systems of spiders, and am surprised at how complex it is.

This is certainly giving me a new appreciation for my little hairy eight legged freinds. And I think I'll be looking for similar books
on other arachnids. The book is available from Amazon.ca. It is not written as a pet manual at all, much closer to a university text book. Some cool microphotography of body parts, etc.

I recomend it to serious arachnid keepers.
