las vegas vs rainwater

hey everyone, i just found a pic of a las vegas and it looks the same as my "rainwater"......what's the easiest way to tell the difference?

Las Vegas are "Rainwater"...

Tim Rainwater ripped off or stepped on a LOT of people during the course of his active involvement in the reptile hobby... Heck, he's STILL trying to do so. Because of the extremely dishonest way in which he handled himself and his personal motivation for doing such, many people have taken to calling the strain of albinism that he promoted (He didn't originate the line) by "Las Vegas" as that is it's place of origin... A small way of giving a bit of credit to everyone who REALLY developed the line and everyone who was taken by a slick salesman with a dishonest streak a mile wide.

With the understanding that this website isn't the ideal place to really discuss Tim's past (and a few current) acts of a less than honest nature, I suggest wandering over to http://www.faunaclassifieds.com and performing a search on the BOI (In all it's incarnations, including the archived older versions).

Rainwater's misdeeds are very well documented and extremely wide-reaching. This isn't an issue which really needs to be gossiped about, there is evidence enough readily avaliable if one takes the time to look for it.

Just to reiterate for the original poster... Las Vegas albinism and Rainwater albinism are an identical strain, some individuals choose to use one term or the other... "Rainwater albino" is more widely known, "Las Vegas albino" by those who are willing to confuse a few people in order to change a common term to something which more accurately reflects the source of the strain.
