hey, is soap bad for leos?
the one i'm concerned about is the bath and body works orange citris soap with cleaning beads. does it hurt a leo if they lick your hand right after you use it? cuz i used it and i put my hand in the tank and she smelled it, came up to my had, and started to lick it, then climbed on and wanted a ride. usually she doesn't like me to even go near her with my hand.

thanks

read the ingrediants for harmful stuff. if it's antibacterial it might give em diarrhea cause intestines have bacteria that help digest stuff.. atleast human intestines do.. pretty sure its the same w/ all animals

That would totally depend on the ingredients of the soap... I would suggest making sure you thouroughly rinse your hands after washing them with it..

It's probably unlikely that there is anything harmful left over, but not impossible. Keep in mind that Leos aren't big creatures, something that would simply irritate us could definately be more than an irritant to them. That and just because it's not poisionous to humans doesn't mean it won't hurt leos.

As I said, just make sure you rinse well before handling them and it should be fine I think. She probably just likes the smell. I hear butterworms smell sort of fruity to lizards :)
