Just checked in the incubator tonight and the first hatchling of 2004 has arrived.

Pure Tremper Giant and this little bugger is about twice the size of a normal hatchling, bright pink with screaming red eyes. Hard to tell due to the squinting.

I have a few normal sized eggs due to hatch tomorrow or the next day it will be interesting to see the size difference when you put them side by side.

Here is his clutchmate on the way you can see the shell has been slit and he is on his way out.

The first Giant Albinos born and bred in Canada.

More giant albinos due to hatch soon as well as Tremper albino 100% het for giant.

Enjoy

WOW!

I am not the biggest leopard fan out there but the idea of "giant" leopards has always caught my interest. Those are amazing looking! Congrats.

I think comparision photos will be sweet! It should be interesting to see how they develop compared to a normal sized one too, if you haven't seen it already :) I would love that!

Yep, he certainly looks big!! Wow! How many giant eggs do you have?

Just curious: Giant is a recessive morph?

It seems to me that its just breeding larger leos together to produce big offspring ... I have a 11.2 inch female that weighs 110 grams ... and bred it with my hypo male thats 90 grams ... the offspring are much larger than the regular babies ... each "giant" baby has at least 3-4 grams heavier at birth ...

Giants have always interested me since in the wild, a large amount of leopard geckos reach 12 inches in length ...

Congrats Dan! :D He looks awesome... I'd love to see those comparison pics as well! I know I said I wasn't going to get any more leos, but I just might have to save up for a pair of those giants ;)

actually what I understand Ron Trempers first giant hatched out from two normals, and that it is recessive in het for giants and when a het is bred to a giant you will get a few "normal" sized babies in with the giants.
Just from what I gathered from Ron's information :)
