hey,
my corn snake slinky has had some promblems with a few of her scales, they have gone a brown/black colou, gone all dry and crusty. I dont know why, i tought she might have burnt herself but there is nothing in the tank that can get hot enought to. So i was wondering if anyone knew what they were or how i can get rid of them. thanks
nicola
It really looks like a burn to me.

Has he shed since you've noticed it. On my corns last shed i noticed one scale that looked rough (not quite like yours but kinda close) and after he shed it looked perfect, like nothing ever happend.
It looks like a burn . If your using any type of over head lighting/heating system then she could of very well sat there for ahwile not relizing she was burning her scales. I'm pretty sure i read somewhere they can;t really sense heat changes so she might of not even been aware. it'll heal after her next shed but if it gets worse you should probably go to the vet
good luck!
