1) I jus got a pregnant corn snake and do not have an incubator. When she lays her eggs could I just pout them into a rubbermaid container? If so what emp should I keep it and what should I use as substrate?
2) I have a pair that are ready to breed. Should I keep them in a smaller tank? What temp should it be? Should I feed them? Are there any tricks to get them to breed?

1. they are gravid. you need to keep them at, i think, its around 80 degrees. For substarte you should use moist vermiculite. if you dont want to use an incubator you can put the eggs in a rubbermaid on the warm end of you snakes enclosure. Although it is relativly easy to make one.

2. You dont need to put them in a smalle tank just introduce the male into the females cage or vise versa. To trick them into breeding you can hibernate them.

I recomend that you go out and buy the Cornsnake Manual by Bill and Kathy Love. it goes into very descriptive detail about breeding corns. if you dont wanna go out and buy that you can just go to yahoo and type in cornsnake breeding and read as many of the pages as you can.

Dude make sure you have an egg box in the tank for the female any container that she can fit in and lay her eggs use spauhgum moss i dont know how to spell it but its the best for the job! you can make an incubator out of anything as long as it is humid and warm! snakes do lay eggs in the wild! so imatate a live nest. humidty has to be high mine was 70% somtimes 80 and it worked well, if you need anymore advice shoot

oh i forgot temps to incubate! umm mid 20's to 32, the lower the temp cathylove said the longer it takes for the eggs to hatch the higher the faster but you may also have a good chance on cooking your eggs so make sure the temp is anywhere form 27-30 celcius a lil lower is still good and so 32 max!
