Hi,
My high yellow female has been eating little or nothing for the past month to two months. I continually put mealworms and crickets in the tank, but to no avail, so I take them out. I decided to try silkworms, the medium sized ones because they are larger then mealworms, and don't move as fast as crickets, so I figured they'd be easier to eat. Well I put in 4, and she ate all of them. THen a few days later I tried mealworms, and she wouldn't eat them, and from then on I tried them again, but she didn't eat them. Just a couple days ago I tried small silkworms, the same size as the mealworms. She ate the silkworms, immediately and so I tried the mealworms again side by side with the silkworms, but she would avoid the mealworms and just eat the silkworms.
Is she just a picky eater? She will only eat the silkworms, nothing else.

Silkworms are great feeders to use when it comes to picky eaters. Some leos prefer one type of feeder than another. I have leos that only like mealies, while others like crickets, and others strictly silkies. I've tried to get them to all eat mealies, however with no luck. Decided to give in to their preferences :)
It all depends on the leo, just have to figure out which one works best for them. Silkies can be fed to leos regularly without a problem.
Hope this helped,
