We are pleased to announce that we currently have Jaguar Carpet eggs incubating. The sire is a Hypo Jaguar Carpet (featured in the March '04 issue of Reptiles Magazine), and the dam is a large banded Coastal. Oviposition took place on 2/04/04, and the expected hatch date is roughly 3/29/04.

Hallelujah! (Praise the LORD!)

Wow Wil that is great! Good Luck! With so many eggs you can afford to give me a deal right? LOL! I realize only half will be Jags and can't wait to see what they look like!

The white orb trance, hopefully you can still get
some work done. And not be staring at them all day.

Oh for next year, for me. All the best!!

I was thinking the same thing Roy I'm just not sure if he meant the genes or the eggs.

Oh so you're the guy breeding my dream snake !!!!

I can't say I'm a jealous guy, but envie does come in to mind when I see pics of that hypo jag !

It's on the top of my want list, but will probably stay there for many years :)

So keep it up and I wish you luck and many babies.. then they might become semi-affordable one day lol ... they'll still be the most amazing looking snake on the market.

Wow, that male is awesome. Damn nice, so anyone came up with the final verdict on the gene being co-dominant or not?

Thanks again everyone! No, the genetics are still not fully understood. However, below is a link to a theory I presented a while back, if you care to read it.

Best of luck Will;) Awsome snake!

P.S I really like your theory and it truely makes sense . If its proven, this would explain many things in other species to, like some boa patterns and colours. It seems that we are far to know everything about genetics...
