I have recently acquired a baby Boa . I have had a rat snake for quite a long while now and my friends bought me a baby boa. hes great but on his belly there seems to be almost like a little slit its not red or looks like it is terrible or irritating but it still worries me and I have a feeling it should be. it almost looks as if possibly his scales have not developed fully yet almost like a human baby's skull plates are under developed when it is first born. is this possible in snakes? or if anybody knows what i could be please help. thankyou.

If its a really young boa, its probably just where its yolk-cord was attached.

yeah a split scale in the right area is usually a 'bellybutton' lol sometimes after a few sheds it goes away sometimes not
