Wow your second generation out of those combos is going to be fantastic - stripes in normal, amel, hypo, anery, ghost and snow. Fantastic fun - and of course these girls are just gorgeous to enjoy along with your ghost stripe until then. You will be the guy to go to for striped corns!!

Thanks, next year ('05) I'll have my snow striped motley ready for my 3x het (anery,motley,stripe--I THINK!)amel male too. And to think I never liked many "morphs"!

Nice, with any luck I'll have a bunch of those around 6-7 months from now. Last years breeding efforts for stripes failed miserably so fingers are crossed this year. Mark

Mark, tell you what: I'll keep mine crossed for you if you keep yours crossed for me. Only in my case, I'm hoping my mandarins breed for the first time.
My friends who do corns much more than I do, always seem to get better results from het to het breedings. Or at least het to "morph" breedings with their stripes.
On another note, (purposely "producing" hets)
I had some snakes this year from breeding a wild caught female to my snow male--just at a guy's ( from Germany) request to pick up at Daytona. He was happy to get some new blood over there.
Some in Canada have also asked for them.......so whenever you guys want some "fresh blood" too, you know where to find me. hahaha ! lol!

Mary, thanks! If I could think that far into the future, it'd make you think I knew what I was doing!:)

Mark IsBell, you owe me some striped corns this year.

Mark K, I hate you. I hate you. I already told you this before, but I hate you. NICE!!!

Katt twisted my rubber arm into purchasing a 0.1 amel striped and a 0.1 ghost. The worst part is waiting to get them!!! (Darn them for moving to the flatlands!) :p

We'll see Katt LOL I have a 2nd stud & a 3rd female this year so things should be better? Mark K. you I think have a very valid point on the making hets instead of stripes. Last season I got around 5 fertile eggs out of like 60. The fertile ones all ended up being stillborn & malformed. Only one tiny little one even hatched & it was just little & all bumpy. Mary V. gave it a chance, but it finally ended up the way it was meant to be, DOH! If I have the same results this year despite the slightly "new blood", it will be Hets the following year for sure (maybe some this year too). I'm pretty sure my striped stock is too closely related & thats why I got the results I did last season, we will see I guess. Could be the male & the one female I may have "missed". You "inbreeders" can agrue that until you are blue in the face if you want, but I think it was a major factor myself & always will no matter what so save your breath or should I say keystrokes LOL. This is/has & always will be debated, but lets not go there here (lots of other threads for that). I'll cross another set of fingers for ya there Mark K. & Katt as always NO PROMISES LOL, but you will get first crack. You may have to fight Mary V. for them though. Mark

If you can find a breeder with all the proper import export permits etc. there should be no problems, just some paperwork & red tape. If it would be non-CITES it will be much easier & less time to wait on the Govt. for paperwork etc. CITES are the "worldwide" protected ones. Basic colubrids like Corns & Kings should be no problems for people set up to export. Mark
