Weight gain on gravid females

Kinda pissed at my lack fo records on my females.. I am really bad on keeping records of weights..

One this is for sure.. their weighs change considerably ..

This is my second year breeding coastals and jungles (welll still hopping) and I have just lifted my female coastal and I could swear she is an extra 5 pounds! .. Its nuts how heavy she is .. she probably has about 3 weeks til lay .. as for my jungles .. there still breeding .. i hope for an ovulation .. last year she did not go .. so far this year.. its gettig late.. i think I just may miss out again ..


Let me knwo if anyone has any records of weights.. b4 durng ovulation .. b4 lay and after lay ..

This is the first year that I have bred Irian Jaya Carpet Pythons. I weighed the female on Oct. 21 and she weighed 29.8 oz. I weighed her last week and she weighed 33.3 oz. I have not fed her since October 14th and will not feed her until after she lays. She ovualted on January 14 and is opaque now.

Yeah, I'm the same as Mardy. Sorry Dom. After 2,000g, I don't weigh any of my snakes. I never saw the use in it. I hope you can find your info though man. :)

For bigger snake, I use fish scale, those with a hook you hold in the air and you tie a bag to it. Mine go up to 50K.
