These two mated many many times and she behaved as if she was going to lay, but the bulge still remains in her abdominal area and it is now the 8th week following their mating. I'm pretty sure there is no chance of eggs this year and that's fine, but I thought it strange that she still has such a large bulge. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks,

Maybe just real fat!!! I don't know, I have a female almost the same size, and she's never been with a male, and I know she's not pregnant, so maybe yours is just fat like my female.

No I doubt its fat, if there was that much of it there then her tail would be a monster. Its possible she may have eggs, can you see any from her belly?

I do see something that could be the shape of eggs, but can't really get a good impression of them. Is it possible that she will just lay infertile eggs and it just happened to take her longer to drop?? Just curious.

well, I think my geckos just answered the question for me. As I finished typing the last reply, I heard a sound and looked behind me to find them locked together again, mating. I guess they havne't successfully copulated yet. I'm not sure if that gives a reason for her being so big now, but at least it sheds light on why there is no eggs. Any comments are still welcome.
