This is a Het Blizazrd female that I have For Sale right now. She was hatched here a few years ago out of my male Blizzard "Tundra" (now owned by Hildie and going by a different name...lol :P) She is very unusual...the stripe up her back ending at a perfectly round spot!
I have gotten alot of Hets...and a few Blizzards out of my Blizz groups with these strange black spots but this one is the coolest so far. I have heard some people call Blizzards with a black spot "Paradox Blizzards" ? does that a proper "term" for them? and who named them? does it also aply to Hets or others morphs with an abnormal black spot? I would like others opinions on what is up with these "spots"

Unless I'm mistaken, blizzards do not completely lack pigment (such as albinos), so the term paradox wouldn't be an accurate term IMHO. It would be applied in a contradictory situation, such as an albino with black spots. Neat looking though, do you have any pics of the blizzards that have hatched out with those spots?

I actually have alot of Leos with unusual black spots! LOL!

My Blizzard male "Polar" has a small one on his tail...he was hatched here.
I have a Blizzard female that has one on the side of her neck. She hatched here a few years ago too.
Even my Patternless male "Shakespere" has one his neck, back knee and tail!!! I bought him a few years ago from a pet store.
Oddly enough my Super Hypo Male "Lewis" has a big one on his side and his back knee. I got him from HQR about two years ago.
One of Lewis's offspring this year, that I kept, also has a black spot on her side. Her mother is "Sunshine"
You can see pictures of Lewis and his daughter at my site.

I will have to take some pictures of the rest. So, it obviously happens in all morphs?? It's going to be interesting to here what everyone thinks ... and to see how many others have Leos with these strange black spots...lol :)

Two of my female blizzards have two or three black spots. I've been thinking that "Tundra/Falkor" has abberant spots too, maybe I can make some black spotted blizzards - I'll call them holsteins :)
