My Super hypo tang (yes it's safe to call him that now, I think :)) shed today and I had to take some pictures. He wouldn't stand still but I managed to get a few decent ones :)

What do you think... enough orange to call him a carrot-tail?

I'm by no means an expert but I was told tangerine is like orange fused with yellow. Yours looks just yellow . But im probably wrong he looks like a beautiful Super hypo melanistic but im not sure

Some leos have orange "swirls" on a yellow background, but many are solid orange colour, like mine.

Zoe, he is from Ray Hine lines....so yes, he could very well have a Carrot Tail....and his tail is beautiful! I produced other CT's this year too.

Leos that come out of the egg orange end up being yellow 95% of the time. A really nice tangerine that will have bright orange colours will come out of the egg brown. Often, breeders will sell hatchlings or juvies for a high price because they were hatched orange but they are really ripping you off.. if you want to get a nice, orange baby, buy a brown one ;) Just a tip that I learned from experience.. I'm not saying that yours isn't gorgeous though because he is!! In fact, jelousy is oozing out of me right now!! :D Pretty boy you have there!
