I asked this in a below post, but think it got a little buried. At what age are Leopard Geckos full grown? Mine is 5 or 6 months and is 9" approximately (maybe slightly longer). How much bigger will he get, and is that on target? I don't have a scale that weighs in grams to get his weight off of...

He's good sized, but yes at that age they are not small anymore. he will definetely put on more bulk with age.

Thanks, Lisa! How long is a typical full-grown male and female? What age do they usually taper off?

Just found a website that said maximum length "just over 8 inches". Is this true? Do I have a bigger than normal leo? I'll have to try and catch a pic with a ruler next to him to show you guys. I think he looks big compared to the ones in the pet stores (but they may be babies).

no, i don't agree with that. ive had several females pass the 8 inch mark, and males typically get bigger than females. so, i believe they commonly get to 9 inches, if male.

Usually as far as lengths go in leopard geckos. Eight inches is about average length. I have a few that are 10-11 inches. I would say average weight for leopard geckos is probably around 50-65 grams for females and 65-75 males. There are larger animals out there but they are not the norm. As far as time periods, after a year and half your leopard gecko will be fully grown.
