I have a baby JCP male that won't eat. He only ate once since I got him.
The other baby I got eats like a pig non-stop.
Is there a trick I could do to get him to eat?
his temp is right and the humidity is right also.
Just he doesn't seem to want to eat, he will constrict the rat pinky but then drops it and doesn't eat it.

I have the exact sam problem. I've tried braining, scenting, rats, mice confinment with a mouse, taping it with a mouse/rat its been a couple of months now and its only taken one hopper. It almost ate a rat once but it spit it out when I opened the enclosure beside it to feed my other JCP.
One thing that I have read a lot though is that JCP dont seem to like pinkies rats or mice
I had the same problem a while back with 1 of my 2 babies. He hadn't fed for 6 weeks
I put him aside (quiet place) in a 5 gal tank, heating pad (24/24), 25 watt bulb (12/24). Branch, 2 hides, water bowl, sprayed morning and evening.
Let him relax for 4 days and tried feeding it with a dead fuzzy mouse. Didn't work... 4 days later, same but with a different color mice and he ate it !! I allways left the prey on the bottom, never shuved it in is face. It's now a great feeder.
Try this out it's worth a try.
Good luck

ya i just started a breeding colony for mine as I can only get live pinkies and adults. although she could choke back an adult I'ld be a little nervous about feeding her a live full-size mouse as shes never eaten live before
