I have had my leopard gecko for about 1 year or a little more. he didnt have his tail when i bought him and the ladie said it would grow back in 4 to 5 months well it has been a year and still no tail. Can some one tell me what is wrong? And they do not shed very often.
i dunno bout the tail but i know that not shedding often is normal for a leo over a yr old

how do u get them stars under ur name to fill in
Wow thats odd Me leos tail grew back in a couple of months.
Is your leos tail bitten off half way through? Or is it right at the very base? Ive read that if bitten off at the very base it may not grow back at all.

I know that some people say that when the tail falls off you have to feed them more nutritous foods to regenerate a full tail because of all the stored fat and nutrients they lost in it. The shedding problem is probably because his humid hide isn't humid enough or he's just not spending enough time in it.
I dunno this may sound weird but my bro's finger came off when it was slammed it in a door like halfway through anyway they kept it moist and it grew back maybe it was a miracle but maybe you should mist his tail
but maybe if its been a year it won't work hehe

From what I've learned, geckos can only regen their tails so many times. Once its been lost and regrown too many times, it will not grow back.
I'm not even going to touch the rest of the hooey in this thread!
WM
regeneration isnt a human trait.. maybe your brother's an alien!
