im wondering if anyone knows how to tell the difference between a male and female blue tailed skink...i have no clue and no one i know seems to know how....pplz pass on any info u know

some folks say head size, personally I think this is the worst (not many big headed females but smaller headed males seem to make it worthless. others say body shape, females tend to bow out a bit more in the middle, again not 100% accurate. hemi-penile bulges at the base of the tail indicate a male but not usually visible on young animals, lack of doesn't necessarily mean female either. eye color is spoken of as well, males having brighter orange eyes girls more brownish. Best method is put it in with an animal whose sex is known. lol other than watching mating or see her pregnant and give birth, not may folks would guarantee sex of a young animal and other than obvious hemi's or preggers not sure I'd trust it if they did.

alright thanks man ill check all that stuff out..its not young though...its been the same size since i bought it...except its fatter! so hopfully i can tell....that was some good info!

from what i undertand, females keep there five lines throughout there lives males turn a brown with a redish head.

lol, I read tongue too whats there and what we think is there lol
