hey im getting a JCP soon and I was wondering if the JCP was 3-5months old, could it live in the same cage it's whole life? or would a adult size cage be too big for it?

My 2 JCP's are in that age range and they use 17.5l rubbermaids with locking lids. Its lots of room for them. With hide water dish and some stuff to climb on

No
or would a adult size cage be too big for it?
yes
I've recently been through all these decisions. for me its rubbermaids untill they are big enough for thier 4x2x2 adult enclosures. Even in the containers I have now they seem a little nervous. make sure your hides are small(short) or they will just tuck into the newspaper.
Ditto what derrick said. Keep it in a rubbermaid until it is at least 3-4 feet long, at which time you can move it to its real cage. Always make sure there is lots of foliage, branches, and good places to hide.
