I was just looking at the "I think Im a viper corn" and was wondering if anyones ever been bitten by one. I have 2 snow corns and have never seen any agression or agrissive behaviour from them. I even once scent my finger with a fuzzy just to see if it would tag me. Not cause i thought it would be cool but my daughter was 5 when we first got them and I kinda wanted to test them.

yes. I have been bitten by corns more times than I can count. They are usually docile, but neonates especially can have a wild streak in them. The little corns I have are just starting to leave marks when they bite.

as i always tell everyone......if it has a mouth it has the potential to bite

I agree ladyhawke.......It probably wouldn't hurt as bad as a 8ft BCI would, but I'm sure it would sting atleast a little.

I swear our corn thinks our fingers are fuzzys! if we trail our finger along the glass the she darts out and puts her nose to the glass and follows it........strange little thing!

I just got bit 2 days ago...lol...
it got my hand and coiled around it (it was feeding time) and tried to eat me...nothing too bad. Only aorund 5 sets of teeth marks that are like little needles sticking in...doesn't hurt much...only a little blood drawn out. That's it...and I am talking about a proven adult female...corn babies...it's nothing..can't really even feel it...(well some do try VERY hard...but still nothing...lol....

I'd say it hurts much more if you get bitten by a GTP or ETB (look at those teeth...lol..there was a post on the forum with the GTP's teeth....man those are sharp...lol)

ya those pictures of the emerald kinda scared me:). I doubt it will stop me from getting one someday though. Thx for all the input. Im not so worried about my daughter getting tagged by the corns anymore as she got hit by a young JCP a few nights ago and she handled like a champ, shes 6 now. Alittle shocked but she held on to that snake and has handled it again since. 4 small dots no blood.

my other saying is...........if you get bit it will heal
i am not afraid to get bitten, some things i would prefer not tho...
but a bite from a baby corn is next to non-existent (they make me chuckle), i've been bit by my adult female king only when is she knows its feeding time she gets so excited, she comes at you mouth wide open, but its not that bad, when kids ask i say a hamster bite is much worse then corns or kings

I don't think a little snake bite hurts (then again, I've never been bitten by an emerald or a big Boa), it's the surprise that always gets me... Even from a baby corn, it makes me jump, lol.

Invictus and I have never been bitten by any of our 8 corns...5 of which are neonates. I suppose that there's always the chance, but it's pretty rare in corns from our observations. If we were to get tagged by any of them, it probably wouldn't require stitches or reconstructive surgery such as the result from an ETB bite. ;)

As Erin said, 8 corns, various ages, not one bite. Trinity did threaten us a couple of times when we first got her - she's a 4 foot Miami, so even if she did bite, it would have been rather inconsequential at best. :) But do they bite? Of course they do. They always try to escape first though, unless they think you are food.

I was really lucky with my corns until i got a snow. He was a really feisty one. He simply would not want to be handled and would actually try to chew my finger. You might consider yourself lucky if you get a corn that bites.

All snakes bite.....just corns arent known for it

I have a Black Rat Snake which are closely related to corns and have been tagged 5 plus times within the past 2 weeks(crabby little guy!)

about the only snakes I know of that mostly don't bite are worm snakes and rubber boas
