which one do YOU prefer and why.
I like IJCPs better, can't quite say why, I just like the way they look and their size.

I agree with Zoe...
I was beginning to research all the carpet pythons (as I fell in love with a Jungle/Diamond cross I saw) when I saw my little girl at an expo.
I think i like the colour variations more...

I have an IJ so I am definitely biased. Mine is just the best lol. I like the look of Jungles but they are a few years down the road for me.
I think that when it comes right down to it, the preferance between the two is just one of those things. You just can't put it into words.

I like the IJCP better then the Jungle. I like the patterns and the gold color on the IJCP over the yellow of the JCP.

there is something about the pattern and colours of the IJ that i love...hard to explain, i would have thought the more striking colours of the JCP would be more appealing, but they arent..not to say JCP's are awesome looking snakes anyways :)

I love all of the carpet pythons, but I intend to get into the breeding of Coastals and IJCP, simply because there aren't as many people breeding them as there are breeders of JCP. I also like the idea of the MUCH larger clutch size of the Coastals. If I did have to pick a fave just on aesthetics, I'd say the Irian Jayas as well.

Coastals are highly under rated!!!
I think that the major problem is that coastals get so much bigger. But yes, they are wonderful animals if you get your hands on some nice ones!!

I'm still inclined to agree... Coastals are almost as underrated as kenyan sand boas IMHO. I personally love the idea of a 12 foot, slender, arboreal snake.
Invictus, you ever seen a 12 foot female coastal? They are anything but slender! ;)

I think you would be hard pressed to find a twelve footer...Lets see everyone biggest coastals. Here's a pic of a 9 footer.

I also have a coastal at 9' I like the looks of a JCP but i would take a coastal over a JCP or a IJC.

I thought the average was 9-12 feet. Guess I was mistaken. :) Nonetheless, I do consider them to be slender-bodied. I consider heavy-bodied to be things like bloods and balls. Maybe others disagree, but perhaps "Medium-bodied" would be more appropriate. :)

Damn brandon that's a fine snake ;)
And yup, they are pretty slender when compared to others... but they can get pretty chunky!
