oh yeah
to tell you the truth I don't know what a triv triv looks like or what kind of snake it is....I think that it's a rosy boa or something like that.....but I am not exactly sure so that is why I posted it on the General section..thanks~

Sigh....after telling my friend that the trive trive is a Mexican Rosy Boa she instantly asked me to find one........sigh........

so how much do they cost?
I am now looking for a female adult (proven) Mexican Rosy Boa, around how much do they cost and what length?

Adults, let alone proven breeders, are quite difficult to come by in Canada. The rosy scene is not exactly booming up here, hence there isn't an abundance of proven breeders for sale. It took me a long time to find an adult male to pair up with my female (pictured below). The pair is approximately 25" (female) and 27" (male). Mexicans are usually at the smaller end of the spectrum.

The South Baja trivs are the nicest with the highest contrast and the more narrow stripes. Mainland boas have wider side stripes and are more brownish. Trivs(short for the latin, trivergata which means "finger tail") are native to south Arizona, the Mexican mainland and the southern tip of Baja, and a few coastal islands off Baja.
I produce south Baja trivs and had 4 litters this year..The litters were small(one to three), and I'm sold out till next year
Sorry no adults for sale.
except for the reddish ones, which are california rosies, all these
are triv trivs

Put me down for a pair of Mexicans for next year Roy. I also need a female Bay of LA Mid Baja. I've also got a friend that is looking into an amel Kenyan for me when he's home in the US at x-mass time. Man i'm getting hooked on the small boas I think they are great!
Cheers,
Trevor

You should keep in mind that it takes almost 3 months to get US CITES to bring Kenyans to Canada. You might want to make sure your friend knows that
All Erycines are appendix 2 and require an export permit from the country of origin before they can legally cross international borders...

Now that we didn't know. This is starting to get discouraging!

Trevor,

About the CITIES....yes....it is very very difficult....that is why when I got my albino rosy boa it basically took all my time....and I wasn't able to get them until Feb of this year or somtehing like that.....took me around half a year just to get those beauties up here....but anyhow at least I did it and now they are save and sound in my house plus they gave us Canadians the first batch of albino rosy boas (white waters) so that's well worth the wait right?

No problem Trevor. I suspect there might be a few more you will want too. I should have San Mats, Bahia de Los Angeles,Anza Borregos and San Gabriels next year in addition to the usual triv trivs and gracia.
Hope to produce albino Limburgs in 05, they're growing like weeds...
