Finally... "Boaphile Plastics" Arboreal Caging!!!

The two vents of course are totally independent of each other for maximum flexibility of air flow.

This particular cage is 2' wide at the front, 18" deep front to back and 17 1/2" high. I have made three other sizes as well. Haven't calculated pricing yet but wanted to get the first photographs out as soon as possible. I just wish I had a GREEN snake to put in this thing for the best possible photograph. It's all great fun!

I like the style and setup but what is the pricing range??? Im currently using B.A.R.R.S. but if your prices are good im apt to switch ;)

Vents are only necessary for people doing tons of misting of their animals. No vents are needed for most herps. The 1/10" gap around the perimeter of the door is more than enough for anything else. But for those who need venting I recommend vents on only one side. Both sides is overkill but can certainly be done. It just runs the cost up and so the price for a cage with these additional vents will be more expensive.

Vents on both sides is definatly overkill.... I dont even have vents in my arboreal caging, i just leave the glass open 1/8" on each side and lock it so they cant get out and the flow is more then enough :)

The big question I see here is about Shipping. Silvertongue, I noticed you are in Texas. How does FREE sound to you? :-)

To our Canadian friends, we only charge an aditional $20 per cage for shipping to the Great White North. Nice info to have under your belt, huh?

Cage is very nice but I'd have to disagree with you in the venting.
I realy don't think that "The 1/10" gap around the perimeter of the door is more than enough for anything else."

Dry old air is just as unheathy to breathe as wet old air, the only differance is that you get no mold under dry conditions.
unless you have a very high temperature gradient I don't think that the ventilations in necessarily enough.
I noticed that the ventilation requirements are far greater in hot places with lots of humidity in the air. Where I live the temps are low and the air is dry during winter, this means that I have to cover some of my tanks with wet towels during winter to be able to keep up humidity in the tanks.
Just because herps can live and breed in a cage doesn't nececcarily mean that they are satisfied with the air in it.
I think that there's more to ventilaion and air circulation than meerly ensuring enough oxygeen supply to the tank.

Obeligz, that is the beauty of these cages... You can have us put as many or as few vents as you want. If you find that you need more humidity, partially (or fully) close one or all of the vents! You are in controll. Isn't that a snazzy concept?

Well a 10 inch square door will have 4 sq inches of opening I think, heating will cause a small airflow and in most places should be fine (for the masses) but I'm in the desert so I have the vent for cool or don't vent for humidity choices. Aminals that need both I don't have the ability to keep here. And the extra vent is cheap enough. JMHO

Hey Boaphile you need to find yourself a reseller in that side of the pond (uk) so that you can ship large amounts of cages via cargo or container takes a while but its cheaper then ups.

Heck it might even be cost effective to ship them via air cargo too.
