Ok. Heres the deal...Instead of starting a thread that will cause people to complain about this or that, or invoke arguments, I thought I would just give everyone a chance to talk about snakes. I know there is a place to list your favorite snake on your profile, but I thought it would be interesting to find out everyone's favorite species of Rattlesnake. If you want to respond, please include the species and subspecies, and a brief note as to why its your favorite. Pics are nice too. I thought about just doing a poll, but that would limit responses. I will respond with my personal fav. once I see that there is any interest whatsoever in this thread.

Favorite Buzztail has to be the Sistrurus family Dusky's. Favorite Crot without doubt is the Eastern Diamond back aka Easter Rattler.

Scott, Matt, thanks for the quick responses. I guess I should've specified genus, but in saying rattler I assumed it would include Crotalus and Sistrurus. If we are splitting hairs, my fav. is same as scott's for Sistrurus, the good 'ol barbouri. For Crotalus, its tough, but would probably have to go with C.w.meridionalis.

I love Blacktails. Perfect snake for most who care to get into hots and wanting a nice moderate sized animal with a deeply placid behavior.. I still regret selling my blacktails, Maybe I'll get some more after November.. Xain

C. Tigris has to be my number one pick. It is a pretty tough call though, between C. molussus, C. mitchellii, and C. tigris. =)

Umm...the fish nets are for.....fish. :) In that same room there is a Midland Water that eats goldfish. We either catch them with the net and put them in his water bowl or we just put him in their aquarium.

Yeah, sometimes I don’t feel like hooking or tonging, and BW and Tony bitch so much when I free hand, so these days I just net them. ha ha ha ha ha
