Well I found this little guy outside by our shed, well not little probabley 3 inches across. Anyway I caught a dragonfly and tossed it in her web. Enjoy the shots.

Not too sure but I know the local name for them is Gardner Spider...or Signature spider...

We used to have tons around my area but I haven't seen one in years. Another victim of urban sprawl I'm guessing (all the places I used to see them are now subdivisions).

Its a black and yellow argiope... **something** argentia... I will have to look up the genus name when I get home

They are very pretty spiders... I have kept a couple before.

That's awesome! I had that very same .... well.... same KIND anyway, of spider on my window about a week ago! The web is so awesome. The pictures are wickedly awesome, but that spider is sooooo beautiful in person! You have to see it up close. The one on my window was huge, unfortunately the camera didn't like the window and I couldn't get a good picture. :(

Yea, the yellows and white with some green makes for an awesome coloring on that spider. I wish I had a better camara to show you guys, but thats an awesome spider...I have a good 20+ of them in my yard LoL
