little numbers

i have a question that, more then likely, everyone here knows...what do the little numbers mean beside the herp your talking about??? for example --> 0.1 California Kingsnake

0.1 means one female.

1.2.3 would mean one male, 2 females, and 3 unsexed.

sooo basically its male.female.unsexed :)
