What snake should I get?

Hello everyone, I have had three years experience with corns and I am looking for another snake that is good for a beginner/intermediate, any suggestions?:p

Well, what do you like? Do you like the look of colubrids (kings, milks, rats etc). Do you like boas? DO you like pythons? Are you looking for an arboreal snake, or a terrestrial one? Do you like flashy colours? What size range do you want? etc

"Pretty" is relative :).
Your search criteria would get super broad results, so I suggest you look through the forums and petstores and reptile shows. That way you can decide which few you like best and go from there!

No Kings? Why not. They're some of my favorite snakes. Many are great looking and handle well.

Can't bloods get 7 - 8 ft?

Blood pythons are not usually long animals however they can get some real girth. A Malaysian red usually will only reach 5ft but can weigh 25 pounds, maybe even a little more. A 6 or 7' specimen may weigh 35-40 pounds, but they average somewhat shorter. Borneo bloods are generally smaller and 4 ft. is a fair average for them. The black blood is similar to the malyasian red usually reaching about 5 ft. These are general averages and specimens may actually be shorter or longer than this. Almost all can be housed in a 4X2X2 as adults. I really suggested them because they are a good animal for intermediate level keepers and give good experience on keeping up humidity, needing around 70% regular times and boosting to 100% during sheds. More and more C.B. become available and they can be spectacular looking. They also can be quite good breeders once you learn to cycle them, another plus is they are great exp for moving up to GTPs, BRBs, and Emmies.

Everglades rats are nice but they are a little out of your range because you do not want arboreal.

I think that a blood p would be a nice snake, but I don't think I'd have enough money to maintain one so sand boas are stillwinning. Maybe a blood python in a few years. By the way how big do childrens pythons get?

Haha...just kidding,ball python is probably a good one,not too big and pretty tame.
