Congratulations!

It's a great thing for you to donate some time to an animal shelter caring for animals that desperately need it. It'll also be a wonderful learning experience to see different species and the care that they give them.

You're doing a very good and honourable service garter! I hope you enjoy it. Your parents must be proud of you:)

Awesome!! That's exactly how I got my start working with reptiles and birds, except it took my cat's dental abscess to force me to consider volunteer work to pay his oral surgeon's bill.

Good luck and I hope you find the work very rewarding.

That's awesome!! I volunteer at 2 veteranary clinics and help give shots, clean cages, feed animals, control them, calm them, bathe them, etc. I get to do a whole bunch... it's pretty fun. I'm hoping to get a job by the time I'm 15 at one of them. They usually don't hire until you're 16, but I seem to be an exception ;). They're starting to make me come in at like 8:00 am when everyone else comes in and check in and out on the computers. Yay!! I like to find out where to volunteer and help animals all I can.

That's awesome! I'm sure you're going to have lots of fun and gain a lot more experience than you would by reading books, etc. Plus, I'm not sure if your school system goes by this, but it will help you get your community service hours out of the way!! :)

Haha, I had to do 40 hours of community service to graduate... I did it at Little Ray's reptile adventure, and ended up doing lots more than 40 hrs.. It was tons of fun.

Congratulations , again, and I hope it turns out to be everything you expect from it :)
