They are siblings so not a breeding pair, but excellent pets and absolutely gorgous snakes. Though we enjoy our other species, these have to be favorites for beauty and personality. Now if they were only easier to convert from mice to other prey! They were bred by Karel Bergman, Calgary Alberta

Thanks for kind comments everyone - I really love these guys.

Mark - I offered the male to a couple breeders here that I thought might be interested and he has gone to Quentin at Reptile Gallery (part of an exchange for my lovely new corn and Durango). I know he appreciates this Irian, but it was really hard for me to part with him. Because the pair are siblings, we would have had to look for a different male in order to breed anyway, and I didn't want to sell the female. We decided that we could live with the decision to part with him even if we didn't end up having to move. I have made arrangments for a friend to keep the female for us if we do end up having to make a move. Circumstances do make for some difficult decisions,
