I like 1 & 6 -- they seem to have the most red on them :) 1 especially is very nice.... what a beauty :D

Why have you not popped them yet zoe?
My couple that were redder than the rest last year . Turned to yellow sooner. Day 52 for me today, this few days sucks.

for me number one has nice rings and number
five is the other extremely variable pattern.
NIce babies once again.

They are all very nice, but I would keep the ones that eat first and most consistently - just my preference over color and pattern is viability - I love snakes that have a healthy appetite and are fast starters as babies. For pattern I would choose number five, it seems to have the most ivory and I like those that have broader ivory bands to balance the dark gold at maturity.

How about giving us a little write up on how to pop snakes. I did attempt to pop mine and they all looked the same. I did not see anything that was definatively a set of hemipene. Also pics of a male and female popped would REALLY be helpful.

Most books have a good description of popping in them. I'm copying this from a milksnake book I have.

Hemipenes can be inverted, starting 3/4" to 1" past the vent on the underside of the tail, applying gentle pressure with your thumb and rolling towards the vent. Your other thumb on the other side of the vent. As you roll forward you should see the vent opening. IF it's a male two very small hemipenes will appear on the sides.
Double check females by probing. I would have somebody show you the first time.

Maybe I can go to Doms this weekend and do some pictures with him.
