Hello

I can buy a 100% Surname boa c.c. from Suriname which will be imported...it is a baby from a captured wild female which was pregnant in suriname. The babies will be fly over to here...and they cost about USD 295 (€ 275).
He or she should look like this...
http://www.boa-constrictors.com/com/constrictor/Surinam/surinam.html

Or

I can also buy babies from these parents
http://home.hetnet.nl/~penrmkpentanl/boek/De%20Boa%20constrictor.txt

Breed in capativity...born these evening. They are Boa constrictor SSp, and cost only $75 (€70)

What do you guys think?

I think I like the suriname one way better, but then it brings a lot of risks with it such as diseases and the "wild-cought" one can be more aggressive...

I can't decide!! $ 220 difference is quite a lot, but i think its quite important you buy what you like the most too!

Help!! :(

Well, you say the second one is boa constrictor ssp. To be accurate it is bc imperator. Telling the locality is what is difficult, LOL. When in doubt, say Colombian (unless it has an unholy number of saddles, then it is Central American)!

Very true that the import bcc can and will be problematic. If you have never kept a boa constrictor before, I would go with the bci to get experience first. They don't have as strict requirements as bcc and are captive bred. Good luck :)

HI,
I would go with the BCI babies, They are easier to keep and don't reach the Size of the BCC. MAny capitve bred BCC are difficult to keep as babies and can be prone to regurge, the wild ones may be even more. Shipping snakes that are wild caught must be very stressfull.
Good Luck.
I have two BCC and 4 bci I think the BCi are better pets.
Two of my BCi are Hog islands they can be extremly Colorful and sweet as adults.

I have seen variations in color morphs in BCC they don't always look as good as the ones herman posted. His examples are some of the best example I ve ever seen of the Species not the average.
Be sure you'r getting a sweet lookin BCC..
