I am looking for anyone that might know if there is any of these anacondas available in the herp trade at the present time?

I have only seen them described in texts. I do not believe they are available in the pet trade and if they are, I am sure they would be very expensive. If I remember correctly, and I could be wrong, but I think they are rather few and far between in the wild....

If it's that rare in the wild, it certainly does NOT belong in captivity, and I hope I don't see it in the herp trade anytime soon! My 2 cents!

fair shout monty. a green ana is a huge beast at the best of times. yes i think they are extremely beautiful, but also potentially deadly. i have heard of this sub-species, but like said before only in text. never seen a pic or heard of any in the hobby.the only mention i can find is in the good book ( ross and marzecs brilliant reproductive husbandry of boas and pythons)
cheers
