Pinkie's

I have a 2 year old Leopard Gecko who just laid eggs. she is extremely hungry right now and is eating crickets like mad. Someone told me to try and feed it a Pinkie mouse to help get some fat back in her, she will not eat the Frozen(now thawd out) pinkie. Do all geckos like pinkie mice? is this normal that she would only take in crickets and Waxworms????

Well, it's probably cause she's not used to the pinkie that she wont gobble it up. Try moving it around a bit to make it look like it's moving, some gex just need the thrill of the chase. It will help her put some weight back on if you can get her to eat one. Just be patient and keep trying!! :)

Try a live pinkie. When I had my two leopard females they used to relish a live pinkie now and then. And they were really heavy and kept weight on eating them.

P.S. The live pinkie is no trouble for them to eat. It can and probably will sqeek up a storm but they have no probs.

My leo loves live pinks! I've never tried with a f/t one as I thought they needed the food item to be moving to be attractive. Mine gobbles em up in 2 seconds flat!!!

I feed all my Leo's F/T pinkies, usually I just wait untill they are in their hides and wiggle the mouse in front of the opening so all they can see is the mouse. I managed to get all of my Leos on pinkies this way and now they don't care if they are moving or not they just attack them.

what is " F/T" mean

It means you buy them frozen and thaw them out. Less of a chance to spread rodent borne diseases that way.
