That sounds awesome. One lucky snake! Our red tail has to settle for a weekly shower not sure about the humidity being an issue, you'd just have to check it. All of our snakes are rescues that came to us in some form or way. I suggest feeding outside of the enclosure (which is a much debated topic), handling often, and getting a good food source readily available before getting the snake. We have been through heck and back trying to find rats for our guys and gals. Finally we have a good reliable source with good, healthy product. Every one and every snake is different. We have a ball that hates any kind of substrate but wood shavings, the others don't care. We have a snake that refuses to use a hide and one that refuses to not hide. So it is all a learning curve depending on your snake. Research and research some more and remember that no question is a dumb one. Find a vet too. Sometimes it's hard to find one that takes snakes.
