Do Dumerils Boas stop eating in winter? Did anyone experience that? I have read once in a care sheet for Dumerils Boas that they might stop eating in winter. My 15 months old male did not eat since 6 weeks.

If your boa is not losing weight, and all the husbandry is correct, there is no need to worry.

My live feeders, my Dumerils and my two Anthill/Pygmy Pythons, have all been off food for three weeks now. They're healthy, but I think it's due to the drop to 71ºF in my upstairs...they might have gotten the wrong idea and are thinking it's time for a long sleep!

I have had a Dumerils since 2010 and every year she takes 3-4 months off from feeding. She has gone as long as 5. Never starts looking thin at all and then when she is ready for food she starts becoming more active and seeks the warm side of her enclosure I offer food and she usually takes it first time. You should be just fine.

Mine also hasn't eaten for 6 weeks. About the same age. If it's not losing weight, don't sweat it.
