How is this for a Chunkhead?

That's a very amazing pattern on that snake...I really like the shade of brown/orange/rusty looking color on the head.

The head color is usually indicative of a Northern. But judging fromt he area he was caught, it is probably an integrade.

How could you ever tell 100% if it is or is not an intergrade?

I don't think it matters personally, but if it did matter is there some way of knowing for sure?

I don't know for sure. Maybe soemone else has specifics on the integrades. But generally the darker head is a Northern. But it came from an area where both ranges overlap. The body color looks more like a Southern.
