Hi gus,
Few questions.
I setup my terrarium with 2 cocunut hides. One in coolside one on heat mat side.
1. Both have tiny extra hole on top. Is that ok? Will the snake feel safe?
2. Humidity... All humidifiers are useless cause they dont have a probe. which setups with probe you recommend?
3. Is that ok that humidity goes up and down (within 55-70) or it must stay constant?
4.Tree branch orsomething she can climb on. Anything you recommend? Thanks.

Anyone?

Additional question is the silicone used inside terrariums safe?
Thanks

The extra hole in the top of the coconut is where it was attached to the tree and mine have never had a problem but soon outgrow them,
Remember the humidity fluctuates in the natural environment I use orchid bark and this keeps the humidity fine I always mist a little more once I see there in shed anyway
Any branches are fine as they need them to rub against them when in shed and actually all mine are on these more than in the hides I'm sure they think there tree boas
My vivs have always come ready siloconed and mine have been fine for the past 20 yrs most is probably fish tank safe anyway
Hope this helps a bit

Thank you very much it helps a lot!
Another question. I put the heat probe (it has small suction cup) inside the tank on the mat under the paper towel and it was doing 90f. Now snake lays on the probe and it shows 80f and naturally isnt stopping heating. I am afraid it can fry the snake... What do you do? Much obliged
