As I mentioned in another thread, my bf moved in. Along with him came his animals, and two bredli pythons for me. So here's some pics :)
Here are my two, both are bredli pythons, they are near impossible to photograph lol :wacky:

My BF's 1.1 woma pythons, sweetest snakes I have ever interacted with. I believe these photos are all the male but I can't be 100% sure.

Female purple retic, just over one year and pushing 10 feet. She's very sweet but very hard to photograph her true colors.

Now onto the venomous!!
This is his female Eastern Diamondback, only one photo as she's rather intimidating to me in all honesty lol. Currently refusing food...

Western gaboon vipers, 2.2 total. My favorite so far to photograph and interact with. The way they bop their heads as if to communicate is so neat.
Larger male, 1.5-2 years old.

Gorgeous snakes! You're a braver one than I allowing those hots in the house. lol I love snakes, and don't mind giants, but hots are definitely the one thing I draw the line at. I still very much appreciate the photos, though, Gaboons are one of my favorite venomous snakes. :)

Thanks Ziggy!! I've been wanting them forever :) I really like them already. She is, she's a gentle giant and awesome to handle.

Well, sometimes just gotta sacrifice :) One day I plan on working with venomous and actually really want a copperhead soon now that he's here, so I can't say no. I couldn't imagine making him give up his animals. He is very safe with them and gaboons seem to be his favorite snake by far.

I'm crazy jealous of those gaboons. I love them but I know I'm not able to have them since I'm not quite cautious enough!

Amazing diversity and what spectacular animals! Congrats and it seems like a tour at the "reptile house" is what the doctor ordered. Haha.

Those are so pretty. The vipers are giving me anxiety to look at the pics. They're beautiful, and you are so brave to be ok having them around. I'd be calling a brown code.
Those pythons are so beautiful. I have a Woma and she's such a doll. She's a spazoid, but is so sweet.

Wow Snoopy that's a lot of new snakes, of course you know I'm gonna say the purple retic is my favourite ;). And I'd love hots, if Lisa could handle them I'd have them in our house in a shot, those Gaboon,s are stunning thanks for posting the pics

Fantastic collection! Gaboons are so beautiful
Landmines in the house :D
Gaboons are beautiful snakes but very dangerous as they are almost impossible to read and defy gravity if they have to. Having to deal with a stuck shed on a Gaboon will be quite the adrenaline rush :) Do they bob their head when you bob your head? Can be so cute.

Thanks everyone! I don't work with the gaboons as of yet but they are cool. The only two that are actually mine is the bredli pair.......
TRD to answer your question yes they do!! It's so neat. The larger male does it a lot, the females not so much, I've only ever seen one of them head bop once. Haven't had the little male long enough to tell. They are awesome for sure
:) just be careful around those guys... they may move and look like big slugs, but they strike incredibly fast and have a very nasty bite. I'm sure you know of that.
I follow some dude on YT that has tons of venomous, including a bunch of Gaboons, and there is this one video where the Gaboon thinks he should take a blast at the hand that feeds him, man that speed is insane... they can literally strike their full body length in 0.1 sec out of nowhere if they want, which is much farther than what you would expect.
Pretty snake, but be wary around them.

For sure. All I do is take the photos, not doing any maintenance with them yet :) the little guys sure seem to express how they feel about us, they are so noisy. The big guy is very calm and observant, I wouldn't mess with him but he's about as laid back as it gets. The other day he struck at me through the glass while I was moving something, and it was quick. Seemed out of nowhere but I thought about it and there definitely were some very subtle warning signs...he had been following my hand with his eyes very intently before and his tongue wasn't going as much. Being around them and getting used to their behavior is essential and there is no getting complacent with them. I won't be dealing with them for some time.

I would call this a "Code Brown". Holy crap! Even through a window I would be terrified.
I try to go support a lot of the local reptile rescues around where I live. There's one very popular and large group out here; the Phoenix Herpetological Society. They have what I call the "room of doom"; every single venomous snake on the planet is in there. All of them are in protected enclosures, but my heart races every time I *try* to go into that room. It's unfortunately where they have their educational classes, so you can hear rattles and hisses and general ambient hot noises in the background while trying to pay attention to the learning. that's a big fat no for me.

Cute? Hahaha, I knew us reptile people were weird! I think if I saw that, I'd definitely be screaming and leaving the room quicker than the gaboon could head bob.
