My spotted Python has developed somewhat of a puffy neck. I'll get pics up asap. Anyway, it's been about a month since his last meal and he has turned down two small rats since then which I assumed was maybe because of winter time as this is his first winter of being sexually mature and thought maybe that had something to do with it. He is also going into shed now and has an audible squeaking when he breathes but no bubbles or other symptoms indicative of respiratory illness, and it is typical of him to squeak when he is in shed.

Does anyone have any idea what his puffy throat might be caused by?

Would really need need to see pics and please post all your temps/humidity.

My spotted is a feeding machine right now, but he hasn't reached maturity yet.

Temperatures are 77 degrees Fahrenheit to 87 degrees Fahrenheit (cool and warm ends) with a basking spot of 95 degrees. Humidity is at 50-60 percent. Pics coming as soon as I get home

Also, yes my spotted has always eagerly taken meals every 10 days with the exception of one other occasion in which I fed a prey item a little too large and he needed extra time to digest and then also the instance that is currently happening

Here is a picture of his puffy neck. I was able to hold his head still for a little while and I did not see any bubbles coming from his nose or mouth, and I was able to get a decent look at his glottis and it was clear as well

I have heard of snakes 'squeaking' when in shed due to the nostrils having the shed skin in them and some people have said it went after they shed or removed the plugs in the nostrils

The throat will distend when the nostrils are blocked, be it with substrate, fluid, or an oncoming shed. If there are no other signs of RI then it can be ruled out and it's most likely due to the shed.
