Hello my name is chris and I just hot my first sand boa and of course I'm stressing over my uth and everything eles lol. Hope he eats Gordon to the pet shop this item on Fridays so we'll find out soon my other concerns is I had an empty 36x18 enclosure he mostly stays in one side of it I think he likes the coconut substrate I'm using so the cage looks empty do you guys think I should down size or leave him he dosnt seem stressed I saw him playing peekaboo out from under one of the logs barks yesterday evening. But I don't want the little guy to feel overwhelmed.

I can't understand part of your post.

That being said, is he an adult or a baby? Is he a Kenyan Sand Boa? 36x18 does seem large for a sand boa, but if it doesn't stress him out then it should be fine. Let him chill for a week and then try to feed him. If he refuses, try the following week. Sand boas are usually pretty easy. Some prefer live over F/T.

Wow I shouldn't post when I'm that tired and definitely should have proof read I'm very very sorry and embarrassed. OK he is eating and seems to be happy but I'm thinking of down sizeing anyway he is a baby I used the aquarium because it's what I had. The only thing I'm worried about now is if he is drinking or not he has a water bowl but I have yet to see him drink. I was told to feed him every Friday but I'm going to see if he will eat twice a week. I will say he is hard to catch in his home lol.

I would definitely downgrade to a smaller enclosure for a baby. They don't need a lot of space and in fact it can be counter productive. Don't worry too much about not seeing any drinking. Sand boas are most active when we aren't looking. Finding any urates will be an indication of hydration. You should feed every five-seven days for a baby.
