Same here the anticipation ia killing me I just want to see. Looks like a big box so whatever it is looks like will be a decent size.

The box isn't as big as you think.... It's a 2014 animal. But man is she a looker.

going from the width of the tape im thinking the side of the box is roughly 1'x2'. Which when packed for shipping could have a substancial sized animal. Not huge but I'm thonking more than a deli cup for sure and knowing year old retic that means 0% chance of deli cup as well lol

Alright, I'm really surprised the Reticulated python guys didn't jump on this... They should know its gonna be cool.


Well... I got in a female pure selayar locale(M. R. Saputrai) produced from a parthenogenic clutch from NERD. Purchased from vital exotics(sad to say she has some undisclosed scarring/swelling on her head. Should be gone next shed or 2) here's the pic from vital exotics.... Ill get some more when she's settled in more(already took her first meal with me).


P.S. I have 2 more snakes arriving Tuesday.

Oh you just suck lol. Is she captive bred? I absolutely love this locale. This, sulawasi, and yellow heads are the top three. Definitely looking forward to more pics and updates as she matures. Any plans on getting a male and breeding?

She is captive produced.... I guess you could say captive bred but there was no breeding involved. She came from a parthenogenic clutch. Meaning there was no male involved in the production of the clutch. She's a half clone of a LTC WC selayar from NERD. Which means she's likely to produce clutchs without a male just like her mom. I do have a friend of a friend in my state with a pair of pure selayars; we've already disscussed a joint project/trading for a male he produces for a female I produce. Unless I can find a male before April 9th.

The pic does her no justice at all. She's the most beautiful Reticulated python I've seen. The striping is incredible on this one, the silver is almost blue. Selayars come in some crazy patterns.


I probably shouldn't feel so good about the hate should I.lol. You know you love me. If the additions to the Lacey act gets held up or overturned you're in for some great deals in the future Adrian. Oh.... I can't remember if I told you or not but...... It's a boy!!!!

Thanks Adrian, were both really excited to be having a son. I'm already reading him reptile books and were only 20 weeks on Tuesday( also my GFs bday and the day I get my.... Pair in). I can't imagine he will not be a little herper. Now were just arguing over a name.

Thats so sweet! He's going to be here before you know it. I always said to my ex "we need to pick a name" he'd say no not yet.. then the little guy was born a month early and didn't get a name till the next day. I had some ideas but he ended up with a completely different name, so be prepared for that too, lol.

Haha I think I'll have to work my way up to 10 ft, but I suppose thats not too huge. Hopefully things change, I'm in Michigan.

Ahh yes we have that problem too, lol. I'm only 5'2 and 115 so I think I'd at least like another person around for a snake that big. That'd be awesome though, let me know what you find out. I considered getting ahold of BHB even though I don't think they have any, just to ask if they had any plans for them. Funny that you ask because I actually just pm'd you about 5 mins before you replied on here.

There been quite a few up for sale recently. I've been trying to get another kala female before the borders close but everyone I message about them they've sold minutes before.

I'm really hoping myself or the guy with the selayars finds a sulawesi male before the borders close; he's got a female. That's too much snake for me right now. I could handle a male but really want a female sula in the future.

Sulawesi? They get BIG. One of the true giants of the Reticulated python world. Up there with Javans and sumatrans. 20 foot for a female isn't unlikely.

Ill keep you in mind. I'm pretty confident this BS isn't going to last. A buddy of mine in my state got in a pair of sulas so that's still possible for me. I swear I'm in the best state for if this ban lasts. North Carolina the Reticulated python state.
