Looking to get a MBK soon and I was wondering the differences between male and female as far as size and temperment go.

Also thinking of some names. I would like a 'dark' theme but maybe in different languanges.....like what is demon in Spanish? Hehe. Open to suggestions!

Like many other snake species female kings tend to be a little larger than the males on average. I also think they go off feed less often than the boys. Temperaments vary from snake to snake and I don't believe gender is a factor. My MBK was a little flighty and hid a lot for the first couple of months but she's super sweet now.

Thanks for the info. =)

I generally get along better with female pets so it would probably just make sense to get another female lol.

Do they require any extra calcium supliments like lizards do? (New to snakes but have looots of lizards lol)

No. They will get all the nutrients they need from their food.

I think a female is a good choice but I'm a little biased.:D You can't go wrong with either sex.
