I hadn't planned on feeding Atticus quite so soon after getting him but it had been a week since he last ate with his breeder and he seemed to be searching. So I pulled out a couple pinkies from the freezer and thawed them, which I have to say was kinda stressful as a first timer haha, read a lot about issues from not thawing feeders properly, but I think I did ok. And I have to say Atticus was amazing :) just a little prompting with the tongs and he ate them both quite happily. Now he is resting comfortably back in his home digesting away!

I defrosted for a while at room temp then warmed in water to just above room temp. Now I feel like I'm hovering making sure he's nice and warm to digest. Haha I'm like a nervous mom :P

in the begining we all over think things and worry too much, its not a bad thing for the reptile, but it stresses the hell out the keeper :D
i use a hair dryer to heat my prey after its been defrosted

Well done! Over time, it'll become old hat, and you won't worry a tenth so much!
