Awesome! Do these guys differ in behavior or temperament in any way from carpet pythons?

They are carpets, Frank. They were only recognized as a morelia sub species about 20 years ago. In answer to your question, yes they are very similar. Bredli are usually very placid, if sometimes cage defensive.

Not anymore! They were reclassified as their own specie a couple years ago.

Yeah I thought so, that's why I was asking. So pretty much extremely similar animals I suppose.
