The title says it. I have a 3 to 4 foot green anaconda female with 4 lumps on here side that are under her skin...I would post picks but they hardly noticeable anymore. I was told by the original owner that he noticed them after a live rat could not tell me if they were there before that he was in the middle of a move. Any ideas throughs. And who here is keeping these awesome animals I'll try and post some pics of her

Here is a pic of her she is a eating machine.. my thought about the lumps are from rat bites..I know puss feels hard in reptiles where in mammals it's liquid.

If they are rat bites i don't know the chances, But they could get infected. So a vets trip is something that needs to be done. Lovely girl though, Whats her temperament like? Hope everything runs smoothly for you!!

I have not had the money for the vet but been keeping a close eye on her and watching her temperament, feeding and wait. I checked her 3 days ago and the lumps are pretty much gone only reason I know where they are its documented in her file.I keep her hot spot 95 to 98 and keep her stress levels as low as possible and her cage and water cleaned as need sometimes every day. Her temperament is good very alert has not shown any aggression towards me.l was told she was bipolar lol okay 1 day biting the next ..I hook train and I am very gentle picking her up and have not seen any signs of that behavior .

Bites and deep scratches can result in scar tissue which is very tough. It could also be a broken rib. I can't really tell in your pic where the lumps are. Good looking little green.

I have seen broken ribs and it did not look like that and as far as it being from rat bits idk its only a guess as there is no mark from a bite. I know it's hard with out a pic.I will take a pic of the one that is still kinda visible

Looks like you can see a lump in the 1st photo. Has their been any fluid of any sort from the lumps? Well a lump going away can go either way, Could be bad or good. As soon as you get the money go to the vets to be sure, Do you have any insurance on her?

Can you please describe the bumps a little? Are they like blisters, or are they more fleshy?

Well they could be cyst's (dunno about the spelling ) There like blisters filled with horrid puss, Not nice things one of my dogs had one. Looked like a size of a pea put when the vet shaved her head, It turned out to be a size of a golf ball!!

My money is on a small abscess due to a prey related injury. The external wound could easily have healed up already and a latent infection is mow creating the abscess.
most mammalian cysts are sebaceous, and due to a blocked duct dumping into a hair follicle/canal. They are very gross haha but it is very unlikely to happen in a snake since they do Mmm tonnage the glands associated with their skin like mammals do.

Depending on the origin of the snake it could also be a parasite or something kind, if you want to be sure take it to a vet, but imho if it isgoing away on its own I dont think it is very necessary. If it comes back definitely get things checked out though. Additionally if you can take a picture of the lumps next to a ruler or something that will help you to assess whether/how rapidly they are changing.

When i got her the biggest was the size of a nickel and the rest was dime size.I have had her for 2 months now. I picked her up after not holding her for about 2-3 and the lumps were almost gone.
