when i was first given nigma a few years back i was told he is a guy, but seeing as "he" seems to be over 7ft and really thick and wide i'm not 100% sold on that so i might have to get my 2 dums sexed eventually.

Might not apply to dumerils boas, but with carpet pythons I heard females only get bigger most of the time because they are fed more than males. The purpose being to get females heavy for egg production and keeping males lean for fertility.

Are the spurs visible? I've read that female Dumeril's lack spurs.

see, i don't notice spurs on "him" but i DEFINITELY see noticeable spurs on the "female" but i was just told their sexes by people who i adopted from on craigslist so there's no way to be sure. also, i believe i've heard both sexes can have spurs, but once again i'm not sure.

Both sexes have spurs, males are Usually more pronounced. Female spurs can be so small they are barely noticeable. <- not foolproof, i have seen females with long spurs. Also, the tail of males is often longer than a females, again not foolproof just possible indicators. From the picture this looks like a female, but you should really get it sexed to be sure.
