So after waiting another week due to weather, she finally made it. Hatched August 1, 2013, and soooo tiny. I managed to get a few pictures in while she was still in explore/escape mode. Now she has found a nice hiding spot, and yes Arya from Game of Thrones :p

Cute. Wish all pet snakes had that kind of space. Any chance she can get her head in that vent?

congratulations! so cute. glad she's finally home.
how long did you have to wait? When we bought our bull norma jean, we had to wait a little over a month for the weather to break long enough to get her here.

I had to wait another week. She was supposed to be here last Tuesday, and yes I'm a little worried about the vent holes. They say it only takes the size of their snout, right? Think I'll cover them before work :hmm:

You might look at the gap between the sliding glass planes too.

Yeah mikoh lol, I'm very worried about the gap in the glass. I pulled a small towel through to hold her off til I get home rom work. Im hoping it'll be fine until I get home before the lights go out and she decides to roam around in the dark. She's in hide mode right now.

Going to put her back in the deli cup until I figure something out :(

you might be able to put a strip of insulation on the glass or maybe a piece of cardboard. It wouldn't have to be a tight fit, just enough to block her.

OR just feed her and make her too fat to squeeze through. :-)

it worked for me. I won't be able to make it through the door at the rate I'm going

So I picked up a couple pieces of plastic clips used for hanging posters or holding folders together. They should work fine clamping it to the inside piece and closing up the gap in the glass. As for the vents, I'll just attach some mesh/screen over the top.

good luck , hope all goes well.
It took over a month for us to get a enough of a break in the weather to get Norma Jean. Then when she finally got here, Fedex never even knocked on the door, got a text confirmation that the delivery had been made, I went out front, saw the fedex truck pulling away and the box sitting in a snow drift next to the sidewalk.
Thank God I was home and expecting it

The driver that dropped mine off yesterday just tossed the box on the porch, rang the doorbell, and headed back to his truck. It made me angry.

I would report them...they are supposed to be signature required...PLUS its marked "LIVE" and deserves better than being left to the elements! :(

The exact same thing happened to me when UPS delivered my last snake. They just rang the doorbell and left the box on the side of the porch even though a signature was required. It would have been very easy to overlook.
