Picked up my pair of carpets finally :D both Caramel Jungle Jag X Axanthic IJ

male...loved his pattern, interested to see where his coloring goes, caramel or jag yellow?

Female...love her IJ patterning, big girl, and serious attitude

grumpy little buggers, sitting it out in quarantine until they can move into arboreal bio active setups.

both great healthy snakes, can highly recommend UK Pythons :)

Congrats on the great looking carpets there Formica. I especially like the male. I'm doing my research on carpets now. I may be adding one to my collection in the near future :)

thanks guys :) they are awsome, very feisty, but at over a year old, probably with little handling, that's not surprising.

Really nice formica. Any signs of neuro?

by the far the most defensive snakes i've dealt with, had at least 10 good bites off both of them so far, actually got the gloves out now coz it was getting silly lol

messy buggers too, had to clean them out 3 times in 2 days...looking forward to moving them onto a proper substrate!

you have the ability to produce a varied clutch of stunning looking carpets

fed them a few days ago, the female didnt show any problems at all in coordination, but the male was completely bent in his strike, he ended up in a knot at the bottom of the enclosure, something I've seen with other snakes who get over excited, so not ready to put it down to ''neuro'' issues just yet, and 2nd strike was fine

still both very defensive as expected, although the female chilled out nicely once she was out (another clean up in progress, damn they are messy snakes lol)

thanks man! yeah I'm looking forward to seeing what they produce! :)

when the time comes, I think I am going to allow her to incubate the eggs herself - any thoughts on this? do I still need to remove slugs? seems like that is a stress she doesnt need....well a long while off yet anyways
