One of our snakes got out (my fault) and was missing for over 2 weeks. Finally one day I found him near our heat register and what a relief that was!

Anyways I decided to give him a bath and let him take a drink (wasn't sure the last time he drank) and he gulped in the water. Something I've never seen, especially since I rarely see my snakes drink in general.

I decided to take a quick video and share it here! I'm happy to say he is doing well and he took a rat yesterday with no problems :)

Enjoy!

He was one thirsty boy. I have one of my Honduran milk snakes missing now (also had to be my fault) and it is stressful. She's been missing for 8 days and it's her lack of access to water that I worry about the most. I have bowls of water out for her in a couple of rooms just in case she comes across them.

Congratulations on finding your missing boy and thanks for sharing the neat video.

He sure was! He's doing well now and is back on feed. It is quite the stressful situation, now I'm very careful and make sure the lids are always on properly. I'll be moving him to a tub with a locking lid....

That was my worry as well, I put multiple bowls of water out but he was quite parched when I found him. I was surprised he lasted over 2 weeks! It was quite the relief finding him again :)
