This.
And the boa equivalent would be west indian boas(haitian, dominican red...etc)
I originally was in love with boas, then I had my IJ and I adore them now. Trust me, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. ;P

Awesome, congrats & enjoy!!!! What kind of enclosure do you have set up for him/her?
I was going to use a tub, but my dad insisted on using a glass tank (20 gal.) ._. Since we have both, it's not that big of a deal, but I have it with 3/4 of the top covered with tin foil. Using a heat mat on the side, I have 3 hides (one hot, one cool, one in the middle), one is an old shoe, one is a tissue box, and one is a store bought skull hide :) I might add in a fourth, I have a branch for basking, a water dish, and for the time being I'm using paper towel as substrate. :) Hopefully this works out well.

Are you going to use a heat lamp or rhp for your overhead heat? I'd go with an rhp. Gentler heat and doesn't dry out the enclosure.

For the time being it's gonna be a CHE. Looking into a RHP though with my dads next paycheck.

I just ordered an RBI 80 watt RHP and VE-100 thermostat from Reptilebasics dot com for about $180 shipped. Highly recommend it.
Also, it took my carpet about a year to finally start using any hides. Before that he would just find things to perch on or hide in a corner, now he spends the day in his "cave" and out perched at night.

God to know I'll look at it. :)
And my girl didn't start using her hides till she got really sick, otherwise she was always out perched on her branch or just chilling on the ground, etc. I prefer that over a snake that always hides. :)

None of my carpets will use hides for more than an hour or so at a time.

These is the reason i removed all my hide from my Carpet cages. If they have a perch their happy.
